At Dixon MX we welcome riders of all ages and riding ability,
we offer classes for every one. If racing is not your interest, Dixon MX is a very spectator friendly track. Motocross is an inexpensive and exciting way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your family.
Dixon MX will continue to do its very best to host quality races, with good track conditions and nice series prizes. We are always finding ways to improve the track and make positive changes. We believe in safety first, which is the reason we go to great lengths within our design process and upgrades to ensure the track remains safe for all ages. We are hoping to branch out and host some qualifiers. After this series we would like to put lights up if possible. We have made a lot of changes to our facility’s by, covering the staging area, building a concession stand, restrooms and an office. We also built a new fence lining the starting straight. Currently we have one season under our belt. We had 184 entries at our first series race, by the sixth, we had 340 entries. We continued to grow with each race. There will be seven rounds this series and one Texas VS. New Mexico race. We appreciate the support that everyone has shown us.
How we got started: A few years ago Dustin & I had bought a few cheap quads and a PW 50. The boys would ride the quads and I would ride the 50. When Christmas came around Dustin bought me a bike more my size, I was ecstatic! Just down the road from our house we found a small practice track. From that day on I was addicted. In no time, Dustin, Pecos, Pryce and I all had bikes, we were going to ride anywhere we could. We then decided that riding Motocross is what we were going to do. So naturally we had to have our own practice track. We borrowed a tractor from a friend, Dustin worked on the track for a week, we had a 20 ft double, a tabletop, a burn and a few rollers. Dustin just kept adding on from there, we soon had a water trailer and were plowing every weekend . We had a few friends that would come out. When we realized how good the dirt was, we rented a loader, Dustin worked on the track for weeks, soon we were open for practice. We held practice every Saturday & Sunday for seven months trying to perfect every inch. When we felt the track was ready we scheduled the grand opening race.
